Face and body mask

The Original Fango Mud Therapy | Jor’el Parker

Jor’el Parker | Fango Mud Therapy

Hello my Beauties!

Today I will be reviewing (as the title suggests), The Original Fango Mud Therapy by Jor’el Parker. The mask itself comes in an orange, recyclable tube and I have the 30 ml size.

This typically retails for $10/- (USD). Approximately Rs.671/- only.

A full size 210 ml mask tube retails for $70 (USD) or Rs.4,700/- only. The website states: “Reveal your best skin from head to toe with our Fango Mud Therapy. Blended with moisturizing Sweet Almond and nourishing Avocado oils, along with rejuvenating Green Tea antioxidants and exfoliating Volcanic Ash minerals, our Fango Mud intensely hydrates, protects and deep cleanses your skin.”

This face mask which is safe enough to use on the body as well. Though it doesn’t say what skin type it suits I have a feeling it will be most suited for oily skin types, and offers anti aging and skin brightening properties. .

The product is 100% vegan and is gluten and cruelty free. It protects the skin from harmful damage caused by free radicals and pollutants in the environment.

The mask intensely moisturizes and hydrates due to the blend of the sweet almond and avocado oil. The green tea in it is not only a great anti oxidant but also doubles as an anti aging agent, while the volcanic ash gently exfoliates the skin.

The tube claims that it minimizes pores, reduces fine lines and deep cleanses. Regular use will decrease dark circles and reverse sun damage.

Over time it will purify the skin to bring out your natural luster and tone.Noteworthy ingredients are:

  1. Water (I like it when this is the first ingredient listed in a product)
  2. Kaolin, Bentonite (healing clay mud; Yup so made for oily skin)
  3. Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (organic sweet almond) oil
  4. Persea Gratissima (organic avocado) oil
  5. Gaultheria Procumbens (wintergreen) leaf extract | Tones the skin and prevents acne
  6. Anthemis Nobilis (chamomile) flower extract | Reduces skin irritants by neutralizing free radicals.
  7. Calendula Officinalis (pot marigold) flower extract | An anti-aging ingredient.

You can upgrade this masks potential by:

  1. Bringing water to a gentle boil, and (safely!) exposing your face to the steam.
  2. Allow 2-3 minutes for your pores to fully open.
  3. Immediately follow with mask application.
  4. Apply directly on skin avoiding any contact with the eyes
  5. Leave it on to dry for 15 minutes
  6. Wash off completely with water

So head band on, make up off lets apply this baby to the face! First things first its a lovely green color!

Just a teensy bit on my finger

And now that I have it on, I look like Shrek! I was thinking of including a mask selfie but don’t want to to scare people off!

The mask smells sweet its like you could almost smell the sweet almond oil and the flower extracts. It gives just a bit of a tingly feel which feels quite cooling and relaxing.

Its very easy to spread and applies evenly. Also pretty fast drying!

The mask as it dries off

As it dries, it turns to an ashy greyish-green. You can see where its working hard on clearing out the impurities.

While washing I found that because its clay based, its a bit slippery and slimy to wash off. I had to finally resort to a wash cloth to get it all off.

But I feel super clean!! And I have to say that this mud therapy mask does exactly what it says!!

I had  blackheads on my nose and enlarged pores on my cheeks now they’re all gone! I have a 30 ml tube so I don’t expect it to last that long (I apply face masks every weekend) but a little goes a long way, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth!

I will definitely buy the full size once this when gets over and will give it 4.5 stars on a 5 star rating scale.
So that’s it from me. Thank you for reading.
